We are Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for the abused and neglected children of Jackson, George, and Green Counties. CASA is a volunteer-powered network of committed people, from all walks of life, who believe society has a fundamental obligation to these children.
We are people just like you who believe that every child has the right to be treated with dignity, to be safe, and to thrive in the embrace of a loving family. Unfortunately, many of these children never find that forever family and are released from custody with little or no support system, often without the skills needed to live independently.
With a CASA volunteer, a child is half as likely to languish in the foster care and child welfare system, and that much more likely to find a safe, permanent home. The CASA volunteer is also trained to help children in custody prepare for a successful future.
CASA of Southeast Mississippi is a proud agency of United Way for Jackson & George Counties since 1999, and now Greene County.
